Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Birth Code is an iPhone app that calculates your birth chart and reads it through astrology, numerology, BaZi, the Chinese zodiac, Feng Shui, the Destiny Matrix and tarot, and turns it into a guide to your day, your style and your self-expression. This policy explains, in plain words, what the app does with your information.
The short version: everything you enter stays on your phone. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server belonging to Birth Code. We cannot see your birth details, because they never leave your device.
The app is published by Loaded AG, Klostergutstrasse 4, 8252 Schlatt TG, Switzerland (UID CHE-413.943.367). Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies, the GDPR, Loaded AG is the controller for the little processing this policy describes. You can reach us at hello@loaded.ch.
1. What you enter, and what the app does with it
To draw your chart and write your readings, the app asks for:
- the name you want to be greeted by,
- your date of birth,
- your time of birth, if you know it (you can leave it out),
- your birth city, chosen from a list inside the app,
- the edition you read: the women's or the men's edition.
You can also add, if you wish:
- your full name at birth and your current surname, if it has changed; they are used for the numerology of your name and for the name pages,
- the city where you live now; it is used for the sunrise and the hours of the day on the Today page,
- the birth details of other people (a partner, a friend, a family member) whom you save for the compatibility pages.
The chart itself is calculated on your phone, by a library called astronomy-engine that is bundled inside the app. Nothing is sent anywhere to be computed. The app works with the phone in flight mode.
Please enter another person's details only if they would be happy for you to do so.
2. Where this information is stored
Everything is written to the app's own local storage on your device, the private area iOS gives each app. That includes:
- your birth details (date, time and city of birth), the name you gave, your full birth name and current surname, and the city where you live now,
- the people you saved for compatibility, with their birth details,
- your edition (women's or men's) and your chosen language,
- tips you save and mark as tried,
- mood boards you build and edit,
- the morning notification setting,
- whether a Premium purchase has been unlocked on this phone.
This storage is not shared with other apps. It may be included in your own iPhone or iCloud backup, if you have backups turned on. That backup is between you and Apple, and is covered by Apple's own privacy terms, not ours.
3. What the app does not do
Birth Code:
- has no user accounts and no sign-up or login,
- has no server of its own, so there is nowhere for your data to be uploaded to,
- contains no analytics SDK: no usage tracking, no event logging, no crash-reporting service,
- contains no advertising SDK and shows no ads,
- does not build an advertising profile of you and does not sell or share personal data,
- does not ask for access to your location, contacts, microphone or camera, and never reads your photo library,
- does not use cookies or any cross-app tracking identifier.
If you choose "Save Image" when you share a picture, iOS may ask whether Birth Code may add that one picture to your Photos. The app only adds the picture you chose; it cannot see your other photos.
If any of this ever changes, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
4. Notifications
If you turn on the morning notification, iOS asks for permission to show notifications, and the app schedules a daily reminder at 9:00 on your device. There are no push notifications from a server; nothing about you is sent anywhere in order to deliver it. Turning the switch off cancels the reminder, and you can also switch notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Sharing an image
When you share your chart card or a mood board, the app renders a picture on your phone and opens the standard iOS share sheet. From that moment, whatever you send is handled by the app you picked (Messages, Instagram, Mail, AirDrop and so on) under that app's own privacy terms. Birth Code does not keep a copy of what you shared and does not know who you sent it to.
6. City search
The city list is bundled inside the app, built from GeoNames data (cities of 5,000 people and up, with their time zones), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence, see www.geonames.org. Searching is done entirely offline against that bundled list. The app does not request location permission and makes no network lookup to find your city.
7. Fonts and other third-party components
The typefaces come from Google Fonts and are shipped inside the app. They are not fetched from Google while you use it, so Google receives nothing about you through the app. The app is built with Expo and React Native; the components used are libraries compiled into the app, not services that call home.
8. Purchases
Birth Code Premium is an optional in-app purchase: a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the app only whether a purchase or subscription is active. The app never sees your card number, billing address or Apple ID password. Apple's handling of that information is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
9. Children
Birth Code is rated 13+ in the App Store and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and in practice the app sends nothing to any server at all. If you are under 16, please use the app with the agreement of a parent or guardian.
10. Deleting your data, and keeping a copy
Because everything lives on your phone, you decide what happens to it:
- Delete everything inside the app. In Profile, open the settings and tap "Delete all my data". This erases your birth details, names, saved people, tips, mood boards and settings from the phone and cancels the morning notification. It cannot be undone.
- Delete the app. Removing Birth Code from your iPhone removes its local storage with it. There is no copy left with us, because we never had one.
- You can also change your details at any time, or remove a saved person, inside the app.
- The app can save a backup to a file, so you can keep a copy yourself or move to a new phone. That file is yours: it stays where you choose to save it, and it is not sent to us.
Remember that an iPhone or iCloud backup you made earlier may still contain the app's data until that backup is replaced or deleted.
11. Your rights
If you are in Switzerland, the EU or the UK, data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. In the case of Birth Code these rights are unusually simple to exercise: the data is in your hands, on your device, and you can view, change, export or erase it yourself at any time. We hold no copy to send you, correct or delete.
If you write to us at hello@loaded.ch, we will hold your email in order to answer you, and delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority (in Switzerland, the FDPIC).
12. The website
The website getbirthcode.app is a static page. It has no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. Its "Try it" and "Ask the cards" features run entirely in your browser: nothing you type there is sent anywhere. The page remembers your language choice (English or Russian) in your browser's own storage.
To show its typefaces, the website loads them from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font, Google receives your IP address and the usual technical details of the request, under Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). The website is hosted on GitHub Pages, whose servers also receive your IP address in order to deliver the page (docs.github.com/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement).
13. Security
Your information is protected by the security of your own device: iOS app sandboxing, plus your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID. Because nothing is transmitted or stored by us, there is no server of ours to be breached. We make no claim to any security certification or external audit; there is none.
14. Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy (a server feature, anything that touches your data), we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will also be pointed out inside the app.
